Director Makoto Shinkai thanks his Filipino fans after ‘Your Name’ was trending on Twitter
April 12, 2020- Director Makoto Shinkai thanked his fans from the Philippines after he realized Your Name was trending on Twitter.
- A Filipino fan tagged the director.
- “Your Name” was shown on ABS-CBN 2 on Maundy Thursday
- The anime movie “A Silent Voice” was also shown on ABS-CBN 2 on Good Friday.
Makoto Shinkai tweeted thanking his fans from the Philippines after being tagged by a Filipino fan about Your Name trending on Twitter because ABS-CBN aired it.
“Your Name” was the top trending in the Philippines last Maundy Thursday. Your Name also known as Kimi no Na wa was dubbed in Filipino and was shown on ABS-CBN 2. It was part of their Holy Week programming which ends on Easter Sunday.
Originally released back in 2016, the first time the movie made its way on the local television in the Philippines was back in 2018. It was also shown on ABS-CBN 2.
The anime movie, “A Silent Voice” also aired on ABS-CBN 2 on Good Friday.
