Sam Pepper Fires Firework at A Group of People in India, Hits Young Girl Near the Eye

In yet another controversy surrounding IRL (In Real Life) streamers, Sam Pepper, a name already synonymous with internet scandals is facing global outrage after allegedly firing a handheld firework that struck a young girl in the eye during a livestream in India.

The disturbing incident occurred during one of Pepper’s recent Kick streams, where he was filming street celebrations with fireworks. What started as chaotic, high-energy content quickly turned horrifying when Pepper appeared to launch a firework into a crowd, only for it to veer off and hit a child nearby.

Moments later, a man off-camera approached Pepper and told him that the girl got hit in the eye. The streamer, visibly startled, and Sam suggested that the other group fired at them as well.

Deepak came to Sam and said it was just a “very little cut” near the eye. Deepak reassured him “it’s fine”.

Many users condemned the recklessness of Pepper’s behavior and criticized the IRL streaming culture that rewards shock value over safety and ethics.

A Pattern of Controversy

For those familiar with Sam Pepper, this is not the first time he’s been embroiled in controversy. Once a popular YouTuber, he was previously accused of staging pranks involving harassment. He has since pivoted to Kick streaming, where looser moderation policies allow creators to broadcast extreme and unfiltered content for higher engagement.

But this time, the backlash is global ,transcending the usual internet drama and entering the realm of real-world consequences. Many are calling for Indian authorities to step in and investigate the alleged assault.

As of now, Pepper has not issued a formal apology or statement regarding the incident. Clips circulating online show him joining Deepak’s family after the incident.
