Amouranth is back on Twitch after a 3-Day Ban
June 22, 2021- Amouranth is back to streaming on Twitch after a 3-day ban.
- Amouranth alongside Indiefoxx was banned because of their “sexually suggestive” streams.
- After Amouranth’s short ban, her OnlyFans got an influx of new subscribers however.
She’s back after exactly 3 Days, 9 Minutes, and 37 seconds.
There is no doubt that the controversial yet highly successful Twitch streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has been a center of attention in the platform, following a short temporary ban due to her ASMR Twitch streams, which is a new “Twitch Meta” that has received a lot of criticism from viewers and other streamers alike, with individuals such as Felix “xQc” Lengyel and Imane “Pokimane” Anys voicing out strongly negative opinions about ASMR streams. Needless to say, Amouranth‘s continued stay and rise on Twitch has become a subject of divisive opinions regarding Twitch as a platform.
Amouranth’s 3 Day ban, alongside other ASMR streamer Janelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres, was due to their ASMR streams being deemed “sexually suggestive” which went against Twitch’s ever confusing guidelines on what is deemed unbearable to the platform’s standards. Having moved on from the Hot Tub Meta, Amouranth and Indiefoxx took advantage of a new streaming meta by doing ASMR streams, which involve the streamers lying down on a comfortable surface, usually a couch, while wearing leggings and whispering to their microphones. Both streamers were given their temporary bans after being allegedly mass reported by viewers for sexually suggestive content.
Amouranth OnlyFans?
Aside from Twitch, Amouranth also has an OnlyFans account that she regularly maintains which contain much more sexually suggestive content such as scantily clad cosplays and nudity. Since her short ban, her OnlyFans account gained an influx of new subscribers.
Amouranth’s Return Stream
Since her unban, Amouranth wasted no time in streaming, talking about what caused her ban, criticising Twitch’s actions for banning her because of her ASMR streams as “enormously ironic” while talking about her OnlyFans account getting new traction due to her ban. Her return stream resulted into several viewers sending her various hate messages.
“I will always find it enormously ironic that the generation that fought “violent video games don’t cause an uptick in gun/violent crimes” instantly turn tail and succumb to a bad take like ‘hot tub/ASMR girls literally create creepers that plague other girl creators!’” she said.
“I always wondered how ‘think of the children’ and other slap-a-bandaid solutions came about. Why do people try and gloss over systemic issues by blaming causes that have no basis in reality?
“Zoomers and millennials are more alike with boomers than we thought!”
