Cosplay Mania 2026: Dazzling Diamond lit up Halls 1 to 4 of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from October 2 to 4, attracting a vibrant array of anime, cosplay, gaming, and Japanese pop culture enthusiasts. This year’s event showcased the largest gathering to date, promising immersive experiences and unforgettable encounters. With over 300 booths and 9,000 square meters of space, Cosplay Mania transformed into a colorful paradise for fans.

Three Exciting Days of Events and Activities

The three days of Cosplay Mania were packed with thrilling activities and showcases.

Day 1

Day 1 kicked off with popular cosplayers Thames and Féileacán Cú, drawing fans into the excitement. Thames showcased his dancing talents while Féileacán Cú featured his web novel alongside some amazing voice acting!

The day also featured the Cosplay Solo Showdown and live music from Akibasonic during the Anisound Sessions such as Sugitasan providing some anime and EDM mixes! Notably, the evening burst into life with a spectacular concert featuring Nami Tamaki, whose deep-rooted connection with Mobile Suit Gundam delighted long-time fans in the JAM concert to conclude Day 1.

Day 2

If Day 1 was an opening act, Day 2 was the main event, particularly for VTuber enthusiasts. The appearance of HOLOSTARS English talents: Machina X Flayon, Banzoin Hakka, Jurard T Rexford, and Octavio was met with immense excitement. The stage was packed when these vtubers were on the stage. We couldn’t even get in front as the place was full so we sat at the back.

Malaysian cosplay sensation YingTze took to the stage, followed by the exhilarating Cosplay Mania Cup. The JAM lineup featuring Miyomi, Ayunda Risu, and Momosuzu Nene lit up the event. Fans lit the arena with penlights, creating a dynamic atmosphere that celebrated their favorite characters.

Day 3

The final day maintained a robust energy with performances by Hikarin, Diana Garnet, and Prestonles, complemented by the popular Cosplay Karaoke Cup. The event concluded with standout performances from Niko Lab, AnnChan, MindaRyn who marked her first Asia tour and ZAQ for the JAM concert. By the end of Day 3, attendees were filled with excitement, having experienced a climactic conclusion to a remarkable event, while we were exhausted but it was all worth while as our team also got to see our friends and watch the events with them.

The Convention Floor: Where the Heart Lies

While the stage hosted impressive acts, the convention floor was undoubtedly the pulse of Cosplay Mania. This is where fans line up to meet and take pictures with their favorite cosplayers. You can also buy their merch such as their cosprints while also availing some fanservice. We saw the fans freeze as the cosplayers sat on them or placed their hands on their faces.

All-Star Avenue Highlights

The All-Star Avenue showcased phenomenal creators and cosplayers, including favorites like Yosuke, Kianne x Kimaeh, and Mogi x Juju x MaxShoe. Their captivating performances and costumes left attendees in awe. The queues were long but it was worth it as fans lined up and took numbers to await their turn.

FanFair: Celebrating Independent Artists

The FanFair section celebrated indie creators and artists with engaging booths packed with unique artworks. From Shangi Art to ClickandStick, this area offered a treasure trove of creative goods that would snag any collector’s attention.

Diverse Exhibits and Shopping

The Cosshoppe added a layer of excitement with exhibitors spanning gaming, collectibles, and pop culture merchandise. The layout provided dedicated spaces for various exhibitors, ensuring that fans could explore a myriad of options that catered to their interests. This too was popular as fans and cosplayers alike waited in line to get their merch.

Cosplay: The Beating Heart of the Event

As implied by the convention’s name, cosplay played a central role in the festivities. The sight of fans fully embracing their characters with intricate costumes, props, and group cosplays created a buoyant atmosphere.

Photography Area: A Visual Delight

The new Photography Area stood out as a much-appreciated addition for those seeking professional shots. It provided organized surroundings for photographers and enthusiasts alike, ensuring that every moment could be beautifully documented. It was conveniently placed beside the cafeteria area so fans and cosplayers alike can watch the Photoshoots as they happen. Cosplayers who got exhausted can also go to the cafeteria for some refreshments.

A Fitting Finale to the Prism Saga

Ultimately, Cosplay Mania underscores a vital truth: it doesn’t matter whether fans come for cosplay, merch, music, or simply the community; the experience is an overlapping tapestry of shared passion and creativity.
