“Arterion strongly condemns any behavior that spreads harm or toxicity within the community.”
The organization is urging members to:
- be cautious when interacting with anonymous content

- report harassment when encountered
- help maintain a supportive and respectful environment
The advisory reflects Arterion’s commitment to fostering safety, positivity, and inclusivity in the cosplay scene. Known for organizing events such as CONNext, Arterion continues to advocate for responsible online behavior and stronger community support systems.
Cosplayer Speaks Out After Being Targeted by Body Shaming
Following Arterion’s warning, a cosplayer who was directly targeted by a body-shaming anonymous post has come forward to share her personal story one that deeply resonated with many in the community.

The cosplayer Megara Foxx, featured in the shared images wearing a detailed, elegant fantasy-themed costume, revealed the emotional and physical struggles she has endured throughout her life due to unrealistic body expectations.
She explained that she once reached a dangerous point where constant pressure to stay thin led her to skip meals. This resulted in severe health issues, including a thinning stomach lining discovered during an endoscopy.
“Yes, I gained weight so what? I’m finally happy, healthy, and feeling my best.”
Despite ongoing insecurities fueled by cruel comments, she shared that she refuses to hide her body anymore. Instead, she chooses to cosplay outfits that show her stomach to empower herself and others.
“I idolize so many beautiful women with bodies just like mine. I don’t want to be another influencer who edits themselves and promotes unrealistic body standards standards that nearly destroyed me.”
She expressed heartbreak over fans and fellow cosplayers who feel they cannot portray characters because of their size or appearance.
“It breaks my heart when people say they’re too ‘fat’ or ‘ugly’ to cosplay. All I see are beautiful people who could absolutely pull off those characters.”
Her message ended with a powerful reminder:
“THIS is what real women look like. I hope you learn to see your own beauty inside and out.”
A Unified Stand Against Harassment
The statements from both Arterion Philippines and the Megara Foxx underscore a shared call for compassion and respect within the community. Cosplay is meant to be a celebration of creativity and self-expression but harmful behavior such as body shaming threatens that spirit.
