Manila, Philippines – A local coffee lover’s morning jolt turned into a nightmare after discovering what appeared to be cockroach legs in a cup of French Vanilla coffee purchased from a 7-Eleven branch in Quintin Paredes. The customer, who shared their experience on Reddit’s r/CoffeePH, expressed disgust and concern over the store’s hygiene practices.

According to the post, the customer bought a medium-sized French Vanilla coffee from the store’s espresso machine for P47. Upon opening the cup, they were greeted by the unsettling sight of several cockroach legs floating in their drink.

The customer further explained that they had grabbed one of the top paper cups from the stack provided near the machine. They speculated that the cockroach parts may have come from the machine itself or possibly from the lid.

The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the online community, with many users expressing similar worries about cleanliness in convenience stores. The customer vowed never to purchase anything not factory-sealed from the establishment again.

This incident raises serious questions about hygiene standards in local convenience stores, particularly those offering self-service beverage options. Consumers are now calling for stricter regulations and more frequent inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of these establishments.
